Project Details

OroCRM is an open-source PHP CRM (Client Relationship Management) platform. It is very flexible to meet various business cases. This framework offers customer management tools, sales pipelines, account management, marketing campaigns, reporting tools. It can be integrated with third party software and also can be deployed either in cloud environments or on-premise setup. The framework is scalable from a small business to large enterprises. OroCRM is an ideal solution for managing customer data, building relationships, and eventually boosting sales.

I have decided to translate the OroCRM to Simplified Chinese since China is a big market and hopefully my translation will help OroCRM get more Chinese users.

Contribution Specifications

Translation Overview

The whole project consists of 21,391 words. Other translators have translated 37% of the whole project. There are lots of incomplete files in the project due to the previous translators' choice of strings to be translated and newly added strings by project owner. This is my second contribution to this project and I have translated 1,127 words in this submission.

There are some marketing terms need careful consideration to get most appropriate Chinese translations. For example, when plural is used, sometimes it means the same as singular (e.g. Event and Events all mean ‘事件’), but sometimes plural means the count of something, e.g. Forwards means number of forward so it should be translated to ‘转发数’, not ‘转发’.
